Flash can be integrated into any website to add:

Interest: to make the website stand out from the other sites.
Movement: animation to catch the user's eye.
Interactivity: any interaction, from small mouse movement events to full games, will encourage the user visit again.
Modernity: Flash in a site can help it look sleeker, smoother and more modern.

Flash is only integrated where neccessary, but can be a vital part of the online brand. Flash in websites can help them to look modern, sleek, impressive, and Flash content is memorable to users.. In Adobe's survey (June 2007) it found that 99% of Internet users are reached by Flash content. Flash can also be used to create small banners, for advertising purposes or for emphasis of a particular area of the website.

Flash is not just for the Internet. It can be used extremely effectively in CD-Roms or presentations. Using PowerPoint looks dated compared with the capabilities of Flash.
